National Tournament Game

Jonathan's team lost their final game (75-68) in the National Tournament last Thursday. They played a great game and we are proud of the wonderful season they had; their record for the year was 26-8. Anna had a great time at the game despite the loss. Her friends Chase & Eli were there and she had a ball with them! Eli reading with Anna. He was so cute reading with her and telling her all of the animal sounds.
Chase, Anna & Eli. Chase got a teddy bear that they threw out to the crowd and let Anna keep it. She was thrilled (but she also wanted the ball he got too)!
Anna talking to Eli.
Anna got so tickled playing "try to throw the ball past Chase or Eli". They were very sweet to run after the ball and give it back to her everytime. She thought it was a great game!

Wagon Ride

I finally decided to bring my camera along today for our daily wagon ride to see the cows! Anna loves her wagon and gets so excited about getting to go for a ride in it. So much so that when I try to go jogging with her I usually have to bribe her first with a wagon ride and then switch her to my jogging stroller. I'm ready to get in the wagon and get rolling!
We're on our way! Hey cows, can't you come a little closer?
The grass seemed to be more interesting than the cows today!

Mommy's little helper

Anna is my new helper when it's time to unload the dishwasher. She started showing an interest in helping me several weeks ago. I was putting the silverware away and she started bringing spoons over to me one at a time. Ever since then when it's time to unload I always ask if she wants to help and get the huge head nod and smile yes! I quickly grab the clean knives and forks and leave the spoons for her to help with. She gets a little side-tracked sometimes when she finds one of her own spoons so I usually have the bottom emptied before she ever finsihes with her spoons. It's been fun having her so interested in helping!

It's a girl...but not mine!!

Our friends, Crystal & Lee, had their baby girl, Cailin Elizabeth, on the 19th of February. I was so thrilled that it worked out for me to see her last week. Jonathan's team played two games in SC so Anna and I traveled to Greenwood, SC for the day between the games to visit the new baby. Anna wasn't too sure about her mommy holding another baby. I think she thought she was a babydoll at first. Lee, Caitlin & Crystal
She's beautiful and so tiny! It's amazing how fast you forget how little new borns are...
